Jessa stood in the realm of Elsewhere and looked down at her sneakers. Wings jutted from her ankles, cramped even by the socks she wore. If she moved just the right way, she would take flight — but where could she fly?
A daughter of Hermes always kept her wits about her.
She had never been like the other god-children. The son of Eros and Psyche irritated her when he tried to flirt. The daughter of Poseidon and Medusa always glared at her as if she had her mother’s ability to turn people to stone.
But Elsewhere?
It was home.
This is my third take on the 100 Story Challenge! Lyrics define these stories, and this piece‘s title was inspired by “SKINNY” from Billie Eilish.
