Villains weren’t the only problems in Silversundown.
Ghostboy and Lovergirl sat in a skyscraper overlooking the downtown area, all agleam in lights. She sighed as she sipped at champagne. Sure, they were just Adam and Dahlia right now — but a part of her felt ill at ease.
Tigerlily was only one of many. Secret agents who would wage war against them as they tried to keep peace everywhere.
“Take the night off,” Adam said as he swirled his own wine. “Give your mind a break, Dahlia.”
“When they’re out there, even now? Scheming against us?”
“Scheming? They can’t touch us.”
The Chronicles of Ghostboy and Lovergirl is a microfiction series inspired by Taylor Swift’s Lover album (released 2019). Each story can be read as a standalone, but they build on each other for this superhero universe I’ve created.
