What! I know your daughter is frustrated, but I honestly feel that was out of line for her to blame you. Your history is your history, not hers. My mother didn't finish high school either, but I never used that knowledge against her because, even when she couldn't help me with certain homework-type things, she still supported me throughout my time in school.

Like others have said, there are resources out there (perhaps another tutor), so neither of you have to give up when it comes to where she struggles in school. It may take time, but this issue can be addressed.

I'm sorry if I seemed a little short, but...well, I feel a knee-jerk reaction whenever someone is talked down to concerning academics/schooling. Education is honestly overrated (in my opinion, anyway), and it shouldn't be the gatekeeping device it has become in capitalistic societies.
