Lovergirl walked as Dahlia yet another day and sighed as she had to continue more spectacle. Always, always for the show.
It was getting to the point where she was so tired.
Endlessly.
There were rumors that a drug called Aroma — an underground substance — would be able to help her with the assailing dreams. Maybe then she wouldn’t need to sleep.
But she resisted. There was work to do regardless.
Her place as CEO of Celestia Technologies was most important. Her father had handed her down the company, and she would do right by it.
There was no other choice.
The Chronicles of Ghostboy and Lovergirl is a microfiction series inspired by Taylor Swift’s Lover album (released 2019). Each story can be read as a standalone, but they build on each other for this superhero universe I’ve created.
