James Dean almost lost his shirt to zombies.

He looked down at his ripped clothes mournfully. It was just as well. He needed something new to wear.

Without thinking about it, he went into a clothing store owned by robots.

That was a mistake.

They — the ones who had captured Daisy, though he didn’t realize it — were waiting for him.

Before he could let out a muffled cry, he found himself captured.

But he found himself smiling as they dragged him away.

Perhaps that was what he wanted after all. For the best.

Easy ticket to Daisy this way, right?

This series is inspired by 1989 (Taylor’s Version) in a city on the brink of dystopian musings. Each story is 100 words, a snapshot of a larger narrative at play.
