Help me.

The machines work at my limbs, each and every one, till I feel the claw of one android’s metal hand scrape around my throat.

Beyond them, I see the portrait of a queen on a throne. She looks serene. She looks powerful.

A scream tears from my throat.

But soon that is stifled as they muffle me. They numb me with an injection.

I can feel their appendages pulling at me, prying at me, and there’s no remorse.

Help me.

No one hears.

My voice is gone.

I am no better than a doll of scrap materials now.

This is my third take on the 100 Story Challenge! Lyrics define these stories, and this piece‘s title was inspired by “vampire” from Olivia Rodrigo.
