The Stars Loved Her
#100StoryChallenge — No29
The constellations sang to her at night instead of the usual lullabies from a mother’s lips.
The dark sky above was her blanket while the moon watched over her till morning came.
The gods did not care about her — she was only a half-blood, after all — but the heavenly bodies knew to bow to the power that thrummed through her veins.
By day, she could have torn down the sun.
By night, she could have wielded the stars as weapons against her enemies.
But she was kind and good — for now.
No one knew when a goddess might snap.
