I never knew Wisteria to be a wilting flower, but she wouldn’t talk to anyone at her brother’s coronation.

“Just try,” I said, attempting to keep hold of my patience. She blew out a sigh and straightened the tiara on her head.

“What does it matter? I already know what they think of me.”

“Just because you can read minds doesn’t mean you know everything about a person.”

Wisteria cut me a sharp look. “Easy for you to say, Jori. I’ve never been able to read your mind.”

Thank heavens for that.

She didn’t need to know I loved her.
