hello,
can you hear me?

but I won’t —
not another day
or even another hour,
lost to a place
I can’t even reach

help,
please help

the voice grasps hold,
a plea,
a longing,
yet so much hope
drowned into a few words

listen,
please listen

I try to block out
every sound,
but the voices —
they won’t stop,
and I wish
they would just disappear

don’t you want to know
about the universe?

oh, try to sell me
promises,
and I’ll know you’re just
another charlatan
trying to steal
my mind away

it’ll just take
one moment
