The Little Things

How do you capture a moment like this?

Fabian stood on the cliffs — his triumph, scaling them and conquering them — while the fog rolling in. The painted stains of sun peeking through the mist made the whole scene picturesque, but he knew better than to trust what his eyes saw. It was always this way.

The simulation was beautiful, if imperfect. Nautica would want the report, as usual, and he would have to lie his way through it again.

Can use improvements, he might write. Still a work in progress, needs more testing.

But really? He wanted to spend all day here.

Better than the dying world outside.
