Did you ever look up at the sky and just wonder where it all went right instead of wrong?
Or am I alone in thinking that?
It’s true that I’m not much of a believer. I don’t think order or chaos rule the realms of our thoughts and actions. I think, when we finally go to our sleep, there is a bliss that exists in the afterglow. Maybe it’s not our place to know if or when or how. Maybe it’s just our duty to do what good we can while we’re here.
The beauty of a soul, if it’s determined by anything, is how we treat one another. And maybe there’s something lovely about life being what we have while we have it — no questions of immortality or eternity or some kind of afterlife.
The curses we make are those that come from our own choices. If it’s time to go — well, then it’s sayonara, I guess. But life is beauty when we take the time to see it. I want so much for there to be a life that’s open in all its spades. Don’t you too?
I want everyone to have a chance. I’ve seen the downtrodden. I’ve seen the ill and mistreated. It’s an ugly world at times.
But there’s also so much beauty.
Maybe I’m lost in other worlds too much. Maybe I can’t keep my head straight. Maybe I’m too lost in the idea of you and me and…
