The Ideas

How they haunted him…

There’s beauty to ideas. Their fragments bleed out from roots where you may never know the truth of their origins. This is the mystery, the enigma, of ideas.

Writers grapple with them. Musicians tangle with them. Artists the world over dance with them.

Ideas make us breathe out as who we truly are. There’s a quiet madness to it all, isn’t there?

There’s an author I know who is madly in love with his muse — the purveyor of his ideas — but he would run from her if he ever met her.

We love the mystery, but reality? It scares us.
