“Who is the film producer?” Kitty had asked.
Lawrence had chortled over his glass of red and his steak-and-potato dinner. “Never you mind,” he said. “You’ll meet him soon enough, I’d wager. He’s coming to another show this week, I think.”
Kitty had deflated, clearly ill at ease with how much was out of her control, but it didn’t matter. This was an opportunity! And if Lawrence said it was in her best interests, well…who was she to deny the truth of it?
This wasn’t a woman’s world. It was a man’s world.
She never forgot that fact.
A Tale of Glitz & Glamour was inspired by Taylor Swift’s twelfth album The Life of a Showgirl. The main character is inspired by Taylor Swift’s showgirl character Kitty Finley. Out of copyright concerns, I have added my own embellishments to make the character my own, but each piece was inspired by one of Swift’s songs on the album.
