Princesses weren’t supposed to go up in flames like phoenixes dying before being born anew from the ashes.

Princesses weren’t supposed to burn castles down and laugh with glee.

Princesses weren’t supposed to curse themselves before a witch could do the job.

Princesses weren’t supposed to be the villains in disguise.

Princess Aneurva was everything she hadn’t been raised to become.

The kingdom was her birthright, true, and who could stop her?

She would fight like mad if it came down to a war.

But who would stand with this evil princess?

The monsters in the shadows smiled and waited.
