Beauty loved her Beast, but he had never wanted to be a prince. He wanted to be an animal.

To him, he was returning to the self that made him feel strongest.

But she couldn’t follow the same path. He left on his favorite boat, the waves crashing against it as if a storm were on the horizon.

“Last chance,” he said, calling to her. “You can have everything you’ve ever dreamed.”

But Beauty shook her head and smiled. “I think you have your own journey ahead of you.”

He just shrugged off her words as usual before he departed.
