“Praytell, what have we here?”
Arabella turned on her heel in the midnight garden and saw she was no longer alone. A dark-haired male wearing a black-and-silver guardsmen uniform stood only a few paces away, his hands held aloft to show he meant no harm.
“Stay where you are,” Arabella said, a snarl to her voice.
The man frowned. “I come in peace.”
“So you say.”
“No need to use your tongue as a weapon,” he said. “But I must ask…”
“What?” she barked.
The man looked nervous, his eyes flitting from hers.
“Tell me your name?”
This is my third take on the 100 Story Challenge! Lyrics define these stories, and this piece‘s title was inspired by “Angels On the Moon” by Thriving Ivory.
