The birth of stars began at the end of the universe.

Humans wouldn’t know, of course, because such things were beyond their understanding. With their telescopes, they thought they had uncovered buried secrets that had been common knowledge in other galaxies. Who else would be so foolish to think they were the only sentient beings to exist?

Even the stars had thoughts and emotions — though it was the rare few who asked them.

Every star had a purpose, but fate — yes, that too exists — often had plans of its own.

The north star herself guided many a traveler at nightfall.

This is a part of my endeavor to go back to writing tighter fiction with more stringent word counts. It’s just one attempt at the 100 Story Challenge because I thought it would be a good exercise to do to keep my imagination sharp. We’ll see how it goes.
