A tease here, a moment there, a grasp and tug…

The divorced housewife lay back and stared at a speckled ceiling that was far too bright.

She wanted nothing more than to lose herself in sensations that had been lost to her.

But it was not meant to be.

The alarm on her phone would soon blare and rouse her from the fantasy of hands pinning her down, of a body coasting into hers, of a tell-tale glimpse in time that told her she would be loved far more deeply than she had ever thought possible.

Life.

It beckoned.
