She’s the Stardust in His Eyes
A Prose Poem
tell me, lover true, how you manage to eclipse my every moon — the darkness to my every quake, the whisper to my tongue
tell me, beautiful blue, what makes you sigh in longing notes — the music to my skin, the bruise of a kiss to all the hollows along your length
tell me, lovely light, why you bask in hues so gray, like monochrome nights — the shadows telling stories in silent brushes, the sanctuary welcoming me between your thighs
tell me, delicious vice, the how of why I am addicted so — the perfume of your neck, the unknown expanse of how our bodies cling and part in a quiet symphony
tell me, glory flower, why you yield your petals to me — the unfurling that happens when you lie back, your every movement a reaction to the touch I give
tell me, oh, tell me — what to answer with the questions in your eyes, the universe I seek in this small place just between us…
tell me, my stardust lover, why I can never let you go
