Do you realize how one person can change your life?

I knew it the day I met Salome on a beach in the Outer Banks.

She stood with her back to the sun and smiled at me as if she were an angel sent down from high.

“You know it, don’t you?” she asked with a laugh, bending her back and clasping her hands behind her. “I’m going to marry you someday.”

“Really?” I couldn’t help laughing back. “How do you know?”

She shrugged. “Just a feeling.”

But I knew something from watching her. She could foresee things.

An intuition.
