The streets were alive on nights like these. Hana walked down an alleyway, trying to keep away from the sights of the businessmen who stumbled along the main street up ahead. The neon lights loomed, eerie in their quiet glow as laughter drifted her way.

“I shouldn’t have left,” she murmured to herself, thinking of how she departed the cyber café just ten minutes ago. It had become a safe haven in recent days as she stayed on the run from the people who were trying to hunt her down.

Being a wanted hacker involved those kinds of difficult entanglements.

This is my third take on the 100 Story Challenge! Lyrics define these stories, and this piece‘s title was inspired by “Raise Your Glass” from P!nk.
