The legend of Prince Charming has not aged well — or so we fairy godmothers say around the table at our monthly tea parties. For every Cinderella, there’s a cad in tight pants. He may look the part, but the whole unfiltered picture leaves much to be desired.
The prince who got lost in the woods is one such example. Word has it that he fell in with a group of nymphs who were dancing to bring spring blooms to life. But flowers were the least of their concerns that weekend.
Our next Cinderella may very well be a stepmother herself.
This is a part of my endeavor to go back to writing tighter fiction with more stringent word counts. It’s just one attempt at the 100 Story Challenge because I thought it would be a good exercise to do to keep my imagination sharp. We’ll see how it goes.
