Pretty

One photograph is not enough.

Pretty is too tame a word for the way I see you.

Pretty is a desperate connotation, the kind of thing a man grabs at when he can’t come up with anything better.

Pretty is the amalgam of want and hesitation, twin swords to lift up and flex before a woman who seems a bit too far out of a man’s league.

Pretty is what I say when I’m just too tired to describe you in the language of poetry.

Pretty is what I give you, in a whisper, when really you color my thoughts with your vibrant hues, electric.
