Placation

The photo book lies splayed open on the table.

We had just been looking at it, paging through the enticing pictures, as her hand roamed up my thigh.

I had smiled, ignoring her, but it hadn’t been easy.

Then her lips found my jaw, skimming, before her touch grew deeper, more insistent.

Insatiable, I thought.

But I gave in wordlessly, my mouth catching the corner of hers. Her breath sighed against me, and I got caught in her labyrinth.

A new game.

The photo book is forgotten as we lose ourselves in each other.

But the passions it ignited?

Timeless.
