can you feel it
humming
through?

can you feel it
streaming
through?

do you think only songs from holy books
will ever make you feel this height —
a decompression of the highest order,
a chase of the mightiest hand?

music
is
the
one
salvation
in
a
dying
world
but
we
are
dying
for
it
every
time
we
try
to
replicate
it

oh, woe is the singer
who takes to pills
and knows no other bliss
than trying to make sense

of things he can’t understand
