Let me tell you a story, my fair one. I can’t say it will be kind, but it will be true.

Know this: men are angry when they are heartbroken. That may be a difficult pill to swallow, but it is so. Their pride cannot take the bruise of a love left dying on the vine.

I cannot say heartbreak will be soft to you either — in fact, it will be like a searing knife — but you will be able to survive it.

But that man you loved? He may go mad with the grief.

Be careful, maidens, be careful.

Welcome to my tribute for the 3-year anniversary of Taylor Swift’s album Evermore. This is an ode to “closure,” the fourteenth song of the album.
