The winter storm arrived early just like Cassandra had predicted.

The gods sat back and didn’t know what to do. It was as if Persephone had gone missing again, and Demeter had cast her curse upon the world.

It began as rain — falling like pretty petals — before the droplets turned into tufts of white.

But Cassandra said there would be a new beginning. The gods didn’t believe her, but pain always had an ending. The cracks in the glass did not have to mean the whole thing had to shatter.

Even a thing like heartbreak didn’t have to last forever.

Welcome to my tribute for the 3-year anniversary of Taylor Swift’s album Evermore. This is an ode to “evermore,” the fifteenth song of the album.
