O Sisters

A Poem

O sister,
you’ve become like the sky full of stars
in a world that would fault you
for burning ever so bright

O sister,
you’re the flame that lights the night
when all else would go to dark
without that glow you have

O sister,
you make the winds run wild
whenever you dance in circles
across the barren forest floor

O sister,
you’ve charmed the senseless
and the brave-hearts alike
all while wearing a carefree smile

O sister,
you’re the force of a storm —
if only you realize! —
but never did I see you waver

O sister,
you eclipse the morning sun,
and you court the moon at dusk
while we all watch with awe

O sister,
you’ve no need of a sword
while you carry that wit
and sharpen its blade readily
