The next day, Kitty arrived at the venue later than usual, ducking into the group dressing room to try and go unnoticed — until she was stopped by Lulu Montoya.
“I heard you had dinner with the big boss yesterday,” Lulu said, peering through her fake eyelashes to glare at Kitty with the venom of a thousand scorpions. It wasn’t the first time Kitty had been on the end of Lulu’s bad temper, but she wasn’t ready for it so early in the morning — and before rehearsal, to boot.
“That’s right,” she replied.
“So — when’s your next ticket out of here?”
A Tale of Glitz & Glamour was inspired by Taylor Swift’s twelfth album The Life of a Showgirl. The main character is inspired by Taylor Swift’s showgirl character Kitty Finley. Out of copyright concerns, I have added my own embellishments to make the character my own, but each piece was inspired by one of Swift’s songs on the album.
