Microstory Anthology #3: Return of the Writer
More short-short stories coming your way!
For the other anthologies thus far:
Part 1 | Part 2
Hi! It’s been a while!
I haven’t stopped writing microstories on Twitter, but lately I’ve had trouble finding the motivation to compile them for easy reading. It’s a bit of a hassle to take the screenshots, copy-and-paste the stories themselves, and just arrange them in a palatable little package. But that means now there’s a bit of a backlog. Hopefully that will mean a few more anthologies will be compiled in the next few weeks!
As I look back at these stories that I’m sharing today, they all seem to have a similar vein of whimsy with the barest hint of regret. Art imitates life in many ways, I suppose, particularly when we writers find ourselves faced with circumstances that bleed over into our writing efforts. It’s just a part of the process, I suppose.
A note from housekeeping: I’ve decided to nix the “musical pairing” portion of the microstories because, honestly, there isn’t always a song I have that “informs” the writing I’ve done. To make up for this lack, though, I’ve included a descriptor called “The Hook” to try and describe what was going through my head as I wrote the microstory in question.
