The Chronicles of Ghostboy and Lovergirl — No1
Lovergirl sat at the end of the couch as she looked in disgust at Sonic — the man of the hour, it seemed, as ladies of all types fawned over him.
Disgusting, she thought. Tonight, she was dressed as Dahlia — a would-be businesswoman in all her shades. Her slim black dress hugged her every curve.
“He really knows how to draw a crowd, doesn’t he?”
Lovergirl turned her head to glance at an impeccably dressed gentleman who had snuck up on her without a sound.
She smiled. “That he does.”
“I sense sarcasm.”
“You don’t know the half of it.”
The Chronicles of Ghostboy and Lovergirl is a microfiction series inspired by Taylor Swift’s Lover album (released 2019). Each story can be read as a standalone, but they build on each other for this superhero universe I’ve created.
