“Let’s Get Pizza”

A Story in 100 Words

I said the words, and I almost regretted them as you stared at me.

“Yeah, okay,” you said. Then you pointed my way. “But you’re buying. Got it?”

“Yes, ma’am.” I may have not known how to please a woman, but I knew how to buy her a good dinner.

You hummed a tune that sounded familiar. I tried not to look too dopey as I followed behind you.

“You like sausage or pepperoni?” you asked suddenly. And I stopped.

“Uh, both?”

You looked back at me, eyes glittering in the dark. “I knew I liked you for a reason.”
