Capuletta knew the stakes before she took the helm of the Geist. Though her father would have called her a fool, there was something freeing about grasping hold of the controls and allowing her mind to meld with the Geist.
Her eyes rolled back into her head, her body twitching as her thoughts became the puppet strings for the Geist.
Years ago, this kind of technology was forbidden.
But now it was a necessity.
The pilot survival rate was less than ten percent.
Her Geist had nearly killed her the first time.
But they had learned how to become one.
