Katydid Capulet

Romeo and Juliet’s daughter had a name.

You don’t know me.

For a long time, I didn’t have a name.

The lost Capulet daughter. That’s me.

I was born before Juliet died all those years ago. Before the houses of Montague and Capulet destroyed themselves. Before the bard buried their story in the threads of rhyme and prose.

I survived. I survived, and I lived to tell the secret tale.

Don’t worry. I’m not going to remake worlds. I just want to live a quiet life with my cats in the suburbs. I know my magic has died at my fingertips — long, long ago.

Call me Katydid.
