Just a Knock-off Sailor Moon

A Very Short Story

Donatella had always been an ordinary girl — sometimes too ordinary — but she liked thinking she was better than the masses. She sang along to pop stars, went to concerts, and browsed too many bookstores — but at the end of the day she was just a girl.

Until she found the costume at Good Will: a cosplayer’s dream of a weaving, Sailor Moon attire for the masses.

It brightened up her day even though she knew better than to think something like magic existed.

Until she put on the costume. Until she pretended to be Sailor Moon.

Then the magic happened.
