Christmas will be here in just a few weeks. I’m flying solo another year at the family party on the 25th. Even though the pandemic era didn’t leave much room for finding potential significant other material, I haven’t really put myself out there too much as it is. Work, school, writing, family obligations — I could come up with excuses for days.
But I’ve also been doing a lot of “me work” and trying to sort through my issues when it comes to bonding with other people — particularly in a romantic sense. I’m coming from a place where, while I want a partner someday, I have things to unpack before I can set my focus on that endeavor entirely.
One of those ways of unpacking is, of course, through my writing.
