I’ll Tell You Again Tomorrow

Poetry

you were the sun I hovered

‘round and ‘round,

even when you were an eclipse

with all your darkened edges

but I loved you the most

evermore and evermore,

even when you were an ocean

with your tides pulling me under.

you were the hope, the light,

shimmering and gleaming,

even when you were sinking low,

and I called you my heart

beating and thriving,

even when you were fast asleep.

you were the dream made real,

bright and vibrant,

even when you sank my ships

and I tried to move worlds,

furious and true,

just so you felt my love.

you are everything, you are beauty —

mine, ever mine —

and I said the words again,

again and again,

till I tell you anew tomorrow.
