I Have Written Far Too Many Things in 2021

And here’s to much more writing to come!

This piece marks 500 things I’ve published on Medium. I know that seems excessive, but I suppose I had a lot to say — and share — this year.

Normally, I would think, “That’s a helluvah lot of words. Where did I find the time for all that?” But my journey of writing for platforms began with Vocal Media in February 2021 when I wrote a story called “The Invisible Woman” for their infamous Little Black Book fiction challenge with its grand prize of $20,000.

(Spoiler alert: I didn’t win.)

Most of the things I’ve published on Medium are, in fact, things that originated over on Vocal. Though I have migrated from Vocal and don’t publish as often there now, I still look at the site as having been a great gateway for me to share my writing with other people.
