I Had to Learn How to Fight for Myself
100 Lyrics into Stories — No89
The goddess stood in the realm between worlds, contemplating when she should make an appearance. Her laugh could make a hundred flowers blossom at once, and she could make realms collapse under her attention. But she had yet to step on the planet she now sought.
Her fingertips traced the orb before her with its swirls of white.
“Oh, how beautiful it is,” she said, cooing, as her attendants watched her nervously. Each one had been a tithe from a planet she had upended in her quest for power. “Don’t you think it would look so lovely on my shelf?”
This is my third take on the 100 Story Challenge! Lyrics define these stories, and this piece‘s title was inspired by “Praying” from Kesha.
