I can't imagine how much research you had to do for this article, but it was fascinating. Though this kind of stuff scares the hell out of me (oops, bad pun), I can't help finding the storyteller inside me to be intrigued regardless. The ending perspective is also an interesting one because, yes, these tragic stories do lead to people turning away from the church and/or religion as a whole.

Anyway, I know you worked on this for quite a while, so I have to give you kudos for miring yourself in this subject matter. It can be very dark stuff. I hope you're balancing out your reading material with something a bit lighter.
