In his hideout, Ghostboy planned meticulously.
His wasn’t within the realm of great superheroes — that was a legacy from another age — but he got by fine with his rows of screens, keyboards, and their machinations.
He closed his eyes as a would-be android — created from tech stolen years ago from right under a billionaire’s nose — whizzed by with its chores for the day.
Lovergirl walked in the daylight while he ran his plans here.
That was only right.
Adam Golding was just a ruse.
He thrived behind the scenes here.
As it should be, as it always would be.
The Chronicles of Ghostboy and Lovergirl is a microfiction series inspired by Taylor Swift’s Lover album (released 2019). Each story can be read as a standalone, but they build on each other for this superhero universe I’ve created.
