Let’s be clear: most of my early pieces on Medium were originally written for Vocal Media in 2021. I wrote over 300 pieces — poetry, nonfiction, short stories — on the site before deciding to transfer my efforts to Medium. Then I feel like I started taking my writing more seriously than I had in many years.

And it’s been a journey. I recently crossed the 2K threshold for followers — something that’s never happened to me on any kind of social media site I’ve joined — and I’m thankful for every single person who takes the time to give my writing a chance. I play around with a lot of different things to see what kind of balance I can find between what I enjoy writing and what people may want to read.
