Halley’s Comet

One fine day, I saw her.

The first time I saw Halley, she was wearing a turquoise bathing suit.

If I were a different sort of guy, I would have whistled low between my teeth as I took her in. But as it was — well, I just stared, my eyes drinking up the shape of her and wondering what it would be like to shape my hands against her curves. I couldn’t help just looking at her and basking in her glow.

But my friend Beach just shook his head. “Mate, she has a boyfriend.”

And, all at once, I had a broken heart.

Madness, right?
