100 Faces in 100 Stories — No62

--

I knew a faerie woman had been in my backyard as soon as the sprouts began to poke their heads out of the ground and sniff at the passing breeze. Over the next few days, stems shot up and leaves bridged the distance till the air was alive with a silent frenzy.

I never met the woman, but I could imagine her behind my eyelids, ghost that she was.

And the garden flourished in her stead.
