Love was a superpower all its own.

Or that was what Gatsby learned as he made his way through the halls of the prison, shooting down robots and zombies as they came his way.

The simulation rooms were all the way in the back. Hidden away out of plain sight. Of course they would be.

He kicked down a door and blasted two robots in quick succession.

Allowing himself to grin, he felt triumphant as he moved through the room.

Beyond this cell was Daisy. His love. His purpose. His meaning.

Now he was here to prove it to her.

This series is inspired by 1989 (Taylor’s Version) in a city on the brink of dystopian musings. Each story is 100 words, a snapshot of a larger narrative at play.
