I was just a flaw in the code.

My maker always asks me what goes through my head.
Some days I have answers he likes.
Other days — like today — I tell him something inane like this: “I like the way the sky is blue. It looks as if I could eat it up, and it wouldn’t mind.”
Some days he strikes me for the answers I give.
Today is not one of those days.
No. Today he looks at me with something like pity in the depths of his eyes.
“My life’s work,” he says. “All for this.”
Then he walks away, shaking his head.
I am flawed.
