No one ever said humans were smart. We just fooled ourselves into thinking that we’re somehow the most intelligent species out in the universe.

That was just the first of our many mistakes.

It’s a miracle we made it this far.

But we managed to escape the planet we’d destroyed and gotten the generation ships en route.

Now I was in charge since Captain Hawke died.

Mutiny, murder, upheaval — we were still playing the same games we did back on Earth.

We were one step away from certain extinction.

And I had to make sure it all didn’t fall apart.
