Don’t Mess With My Glow

Poetry

neon kiss, rainbow tattoo —

all the things to ravish you

heart’s blood, fine liquor —

give this man a sticker

fragrant lies, words a-twist —

music falling like a mist

bodies sway, moments dance —

can’t ever miss this chance

champagne bubbles, crystal fair —

hold your breath for a time so rare

ceiling high, starburst eyes —

my, you feel like such a prize

fading light, midnight fine —

everything feels like a sign

parted ways, no number —

just like that, we’ve gone to slumber

steps away, lonesome home —

there’ll be more places to roam

but you, gone away —

love has gone astray

seconds fled, timely ghosts —

no more need for happy toasts

neon kiss, rainbow tattoo —

ours is no longer a story of two
