Don’t let the pretty boys fool you. Color Rush, a Korean web drama series that originally ran from December 2020 to January 2021, finds itself in that odd position where its undercurrents are pretty heavy despite some lovey-dovey, touchy-feely moments between two guys who are really too good-looking for their own good.

(But I digress…)

I must admit this was my kind of K-drama in the sense that each episode spanned between 15 and 20 minutes, and watching all eight episodes in a row felt like I was just watching a movie separated into chunks. I stopped watching K-dramas for a while since most have episodes that run over an hour long, and many times I wonder which series are worth the time and which ones aren’t. From this perspective, Color Rush was an undeniable binge-worthy show to try.

Even though I finished the series in less than three hours, though, there were some…hiccups.

Let’s go with the basics: the story introduces us to high-school student Yeon Woo who has inherited a condition of colorblindness that can only be cured by meeting a so-called “Probe” who will allow him to view all the colors under the sun. However, relations between…
