I could have told you the long history of the Bluebeards, but you’ve probably heard enough from the tales run rampant through the hills. Mad blood — that’s what they always say in their whispers in the shops and taverns. And they aren’t quite wrong about it all.
The girl remains the saddest part of the Bluebeard family’s legacy. She didn’t know any better. She met a handsome young man — Ronan Bluebeard — and thought Lady Fortune had smiled upon her.
But she didn’t know about the curse.
Or the locked chamber.
Or the souls of the girls who came before her.
